Assisted Living Facility
for the Seniors
of the Chilkat Valley
A few seniors together
with clergy and political leaders formed
a plan to keep our treasured elders
from moving away from their homes in
Haines to live in an assisted living facility.
Changing this trend has been our
goal from the beginning. It was the
inspiration of philanthropist Lucy
Harrell to build an affordable place for
our seniors. Loved ones were passing,
moments fleeting, action was necessary.

Haines Assisted Living On Track For Fall Opening - July 13, 2009
Haines Assisted Living is on track for a Fall opening at Union and Third in Haines.
Contractor Dawson Construction is completing interior finish work on the residence.
Delivery and installation of flooring, appliances and finished cabinetry will occur through
August, as will the remaining site, drainage and exterior building work.
